INTENSIVE PRODUCTION PERIOD |

Over recent months, all of Grenade's dancers, both from the Group and Company participated in an intensely creative production period to celebrate "Grenade, the first 20 years". This special birthday of " Grenade, les 20 ans" will involve the 63 Grenade dancers divided into 15 extracts coming from the repertoire of 7 well-known choreographers Jérome Bel, Philippe Découflé, Jean-Claude Gallotta, Michel Kelemenis, Abou Lagraa, Jean-Christophe Maillot and Angelin Preljocaj. 6 performers from "Groupe Grenade" are learning "Marché Noir" by Angelin Preljocaj, they worked with Angelin in the Pavillon Noir (CCN Aix-en-Provence) for a whole day in June 2011. They studied the choreography of Marché Noir and received precious advice of the choreographer on his performance, as well as understanding his "vision". |

The Grenade Company dancers have also been working with Abou Lagraa and his assistants Marion Mangin and Bernard Wayack-Pambe during a 2 week period which enabled an exchange of ideas and allowed the 12 dancers to integrate the choreography of Allegoria Stanza (the 12 first minutes). |

Recently all 63 dancers completed the first full rehearsal of the entire performance which took place in the main rehearsal studio called" Big One" of Le Grand Théâtre de Provence in Aix-en-Provence. |

| July will be another busy month for all the dancers, they will work in different places such as the Pavillon Noir - CCN Aix-en-Provence, the Theatre des Salins- Scène Nationale de Martigues. We warmly thank these theatres for their support. |
